SMASHED SPROUTS

Smashed Sprouts topped with grated Parmesan and garlic.

Sprouts carry essential vitamins, minerals, fiber and are a great source of antioxidants. You could eat 100 to 150 grams of sprouts . They can be consumed at any time during the day.

 

Other than weight loss, sprouts also help in improving your cholesterol levels, heart health, immunity, vision, and even digestion.

Sprout Recipe

Ingredients

​

  • 1 cup sprouts, boiled until soft

  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • Handful parmesan, grated

  • 1 tsp oregano

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Method

​

Preheat oven to 180 degrees

Add all ingredients into a bowl, apart from the Parmesan and sprouts 

Place sprouts onto a baking sheet lined tray

Using baking paper and a cup, press down on the sprouts slightly until flattened but still voluminous 

Using a brush, coat the sprouts with the seasonings

Place in the oven for 25-30 minutes

Sprinkle the Parmesan over the sprouts, place them back into the oven for the a further 5 minutes and serve.
